El 50 por ciento del territorio hondureño es montañoso, esto es igual al paraíso y casa para 770 aves entre nacionales y emigrantes. El país experimenta un repunte en el turismo de avistamiento de aves, por lo cual está despertando el interés de los más grandes avituristas del mundo.
Tour operadores como Beaks and Peaks Birding and Adventure Tours impulsan esta actividad en el país, y ahora comparten con Honduras Tips, las postales más sorprendentes de las aves encontradas en lugares como Pico Bonito, Lago de Yojoa, Montaña de Celaque y Guanaja, entre otros.
